Each AURA QUE design is developed in collaboration with Nepalese charity producer groups using traditional skills and local materials, aiming to create opportunities for the people who make our products.
AURA QUE incorporates local and sustainable materials where possible including handknitted banana yarn, yak merino wool, mohair, bamboo, handwoven cotton and high quality leather. In Nepal, each AURA QUE design has been individually hand-crafted and brought to life by Nepalese producer groups that employ local people, providing an income for themselves and their families according to fair trade principles.
We are able to help employ more people by using handmade materials and processes, such as handwoven cottons, handknitted yarn and hand-operated knitting machines. It is important for us to continue to work closely and collaborate on new products, providing these small producers groups, family businesses and handicraft units with work to empower the people who work there and help the charities affiliated with these organisations.
